We hired 4x4 car from Morondava. It takes about 8 hours to get to Bekopaka. Two river crossings. Stayed in Tanankoay bungalows. In the morning we took the longest and hardest of tracks with our guide Augustine who spoke very good English and had good knowledge of flora and fauna. It was very hot, something like 29 C. We carried 2,5 liters of water per person but needed 1 liter more. Walk is exhausting. You go up the ladders, down on small steps fixed to rocks, over hanging bridges, into the caves and to the top of Tsingy. Being quite fit, still got tired because of temperature and extreme climbing. There are safety ropes and cables. Still have to be very careful in caves not to fall into deep gaps. Headlights are mandatory.
This was one of my best nature walks of my life. There is lot of wildlife also - some lemur species, birds, mammals, reptiles.
