We found this to be a good stopping off point from Semonkong heading up towards the Northern Districts. Located in Nazareth. We had a chalet offering clean accommodation in the form of a double room with ensuite bathroom.
Well equipped with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Room appeared to have been recently renovated and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay at very reasonable cost. The Lodge is on a large site with lovely gardens although facilities would have benefitted from more space to sit outside.
Had dinner in the restaurant. Limited choice and no apparent veggie option but food ok.
Breakfast next morning also limited. Choice of two cereals and orange juice followed by strange cooked breakfast which included eggs, spicy mince, salami and cheese.
Overall the rooms are very clean and offer a good nights sleep before moving on the following day.
The hotel is also close to the rock paintings at Ha Baroana. I think these were once claimed to be the best in the country, but now appear to have deteriorated. Some figures still discernable but there are probably better options elsewhere. Access is also difficult. We had a 4x4 and it was ok but would not consider driving the 6.5km track in a sedan.
