This is a run down hotel. It's tired and dirty looking. The management doesn't understand how to provide service. It looks like it was built to be a much nicer place. They Charge over 100 USd. I would only have paid 10 USD per night.

Close to airport, typical conference hotel which had better times, small rooms, restaurant, gym&pool deserted (in relation to the number of rooms) in the evening, guests come to the hotel either during the day for official functions or as tourist groups. It's ok for workshops/conferences.

I usually stay at Holiday Inn/African Regent but both were fully booked so ended up staying at M-plaza despite dreadful tripadvisor ranking. The ranking is correct, this hotel is really awful.

The hotel decor is really old and in poor shape. My room had 2 beds; one had a ripped sheet and the other dirty bedcover. Everything is chipped, the bathroom was in really poor shape and not very clean and the walls in my room were cracked and dirty through years of use. Outside my room were 4 AC units that clattered all night. Breakfast was really bad too. It felt stuck in the 1970s. Much much worse than it looks in the photos, avoid if you can!

The rooms were nice, service was slow. If you are going to eat there, plan on being there for a couple of hours. There internet was ok, they did some down time on the internet. Paid for 4 days, and the internet was only available for 2 of those days.

So called exclusive hotel to VIPs and heads of state in diplomatic area. outwardly looks OK but once inside age and outdatedness becomes apparent. Furnishing throughout are very old fashioned. Rooms are extremely dated and dirty ( don't look behind the furniture); electrical wiring positively dangerous with a mixture of UK and US sockets; no mirror in room; light not working in bathroom; bed very soft and saggy. Worst thing for a businessman is that the wireless internet ( chargeable even at $180 per night) will not work at all in the room and hardly in the public areas so you have to go the socalled business centre to do your work in public. General atmsosphere of this hotel is cold with unfriendly staff. Reminds me of a museum or a morgue. During my stay some kind of conference was taking place and the arrangements for this seem to have given absolutely no regard fto other residents in the hotel . In order to eat in the restaurant my colleague and I had to circumnavigate a large cocktail party/buffet event finally to find a table, then to be told we could not sit there and had to move into the corner! We then had to listen to noisy converation and speeches within this conference party. needless to say service on this occasion was non existent and we gave up trying to get the final bill correct. Avoid this place like the plague.
