“A slice of tranquility”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

A serene and picturesque park which offers a moment of tranquility from the hustle & bustle of Accra. It is indeed very humbling, with a small museum detailing Dr Nkrumah's life. There are various trees and a number of peacocks which roam freely within the park. There is a fee to pay which is relatively small compared to other attractions in Accra. It is right next to the busy and popular arts centre and close to a number of major banks.

“A very interesting park.”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

I found the whole experience humbling, the mausoleum though simple was being viewed by quiet schoolchildren, who were as moved as we were. The park itself was beautiful. Next door to the park is a great market where you can buy nice gifts and machine made Kente cloth.

“Nothing to see. Sorry guys!”

Very clean memorial. A lot of peacocks live there, highlight of the visit. I recommend going in the evening, heat almost killed me.

“Lovely, peaceful, memorable!”
Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

I really enjoyed my visit here! It was lovely to see the memorial being visited by a couple of groups of local school children and also a bridal couple.

The fountains are wonderful and it is all set off perfectly by the gorgeous blue Ghanaian sky!

Nkrumah's official car is also on view. It's interesting to see but could perhaps do with a bit of cleaning and attention.
