Great to understand the political forces. Display was not particularly creative.

The KN Memorial is at the site where he famously declared Ghanaian independence (the former polo grounds in colonial times). This place was created in 1992 by J.J. Rawlings, and Nkrumah's remains were brought to the memorial to be housed. The grounds have reflection pools with statues of tribal trumpeters, with a famous statue of KN at the foot of the mausoleum. The part I found best was the museum at the back of the park, which you could almost overlook, but houses many personal items belonging to KN. There is a small souvenir shop which I found to be limited to a very small range of books, and lacked a bit of imagination. Ghanaians either get in free, or there is a nominal fee, but foreigners have to pay a fee that I seem to recall amounts to a few dollars to get in. Unfortunately, I went on what was a rather overcast day, so I might revisit it when it's a little more sunny.

The park is okay. However, there isnt much to see. I visited the place with my friend. I enjoyed the museum aspect of the place but the part itself is bare and not too attractive. The fact that its Kwame Nkrumah's park is what makes all the difference. I think the park should be improved to make the place more entertaining and memorable. More room for improvement.

Museum is airconditioned but could do a better job explaining Nkrumah's life with more interesting personal articles and letters, etc. to read. Many taxi drivers will mistake the National Museum (near the Novotel) for this one so make sure you clarify.
