“Great Hotel in Awesome City”

The Hotel was amazing. Super cool rooms (very modern) and great service. Spent a day lounging by the pool and being spoiled by the hotel staff.
The restaurant is also very good but take note - order the local fish (imported fish like Scottish Salmon seems to be a little older than what would be good for your stomach).
The nightlife in Accra is awesome. Definitely one of the best cities that I have been to in Africa.

The grounds at Labadi are beautiful and photograph well. That was the best part of my stay. Our room was in the older section and was three stars at best. My main issue was not the lack luster room but the TERRIBLE service we received at the front desk and pool. Guests are clearly not a priority. For example, someone from the front desk called our room at night to ask me the country calling code for the U.S. Seriously!? Look it up on the computer in front of you! Also, check your bill. We ended up moving to the Golden Tulip, where we had a much nicer visit.

Great renovations make this one of the best hotels in Accra. The setting is lovely, great beach area, and the restaurant is good, especially the breakfast. Three problems: lots of mosquitoes; a consistent musty smell no matter the temperature and inconsistency of service. I stayed for six weeks and found the food service, maid service and front desk service to be good much of the time but not reliably so.The meals are expensive as is the internet. If the hotel is to achieve its 5-star aspirations it must make improvements in these areas.

Having travelled through Ghana for a number of weeks we stayed in the Labadi Beach Hotel for a relaxing few days at the end of our trip. All renovations (noted in other reviews) have been completed with the hotel offering absolute luxury and seclusion in the centre of bustling Accra. The staff could not have been more helpful and went far beyond the call of duty on any number of occasions. Room rates are quoted in USD and are at a premium to every other hotel in the country but as far as we are concerned.....it was more than worth it!

i've stayed 4 days in Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, this is a nice 5 stars for a fair price.

i've stayed in the recent refurbished building which is great, but some small details are annoying;
1° there is no main switch when you enter or leave the room, so you have to switch all the lights one by one....
2° the airco is great and silent, but the remote control is mounted too low on teh wall, so you always switch off the airco when opening your suitcase...
3° the glass shower door is nice but the risk of flood is real...

But I have also very positive points;
1° the staff is very very friendly and helpfull....really good.
2° the breakfast is great, continental, british, fantastic local fresh fruits...
3° internet is not free but stable

Nice compound great security, Restaurant has a buffet and is excellent , either for morning breakfast of dinner. Chef has twenty different entries and deserts. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Will exchange us for CD there at hotel and return cd back to your currency back at same rate. Rooms are nice and modern. However one has to run the ac real hard when you arrive. The rooms tend to get a musty smell form the humidity.
But it does go away if you leave the ac on cold. Beach is roped off so you have a private area and the property has many over hanging trees and is beautiful to stroll with a drink.

I stayed here for two weeks and I would come back anytime. After an bad experiance at the Holiday Inn Accra this was a peacefull and relaxing oasis.

Great restaurant. The best food I had during my five week stay. Have the Al-La-Carte rather than the Buffet, although the Buffet is also very good. Clean rooms, reasonable service, nice pool although a little murky at times. Lovely beach area.

Any the best thing of all..you can walk down to the Beach Party every Wednesday evening, the highlight of Accra nightlife.
