Aircon not working! TV not working! Telephone not working! After walking to reception to report these issues someone was send to fix the above and guess what?.... after a few minutes the aircon was back to not working at all. This is unacceptable - and the solution to the problem -please change rooms. Why didn't anyone check that everything is working before allocating rooms?

This hotel is very expensive considering the service and facilities on offer. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport but is still far enough so that the noise from the airport isn't heard. The hotel is on a huge property with a very good pool and two great tennis courts. The rooms are average sized but are a little outdated. They are clean but the carpet and the furniture are in need of a refurbishment. The air-conditioning is not adequate for the heat in Ghana so I think that the property should address this issue ASAP. The cleaning crew are nice and do a great job cleaning the rooms although they are very slow in doing so. The breakfast spread is great and everything tastes great and the variety offered is very appropriate. One thing to be very aware of is that the amount of chlorine in the pool water is very high and so one need to have swimming goggles for sure in order to be able to swim. I actually didn't have goggles the first time in the pool and ended up suffering the entire day. All in all I would recommend this hotel for your stay if you are on a business trip but would like to see the management address the issues highlighted.

Room tip: get a room close to the lobby

I stayed at golden tulip from April 13th to 25th April 2017. Overall i had a mixed view. The hotel was nice, reception area nice with the rooms comfortable however the bathroom leaked when showering and the choice of TV stations for a large hotel was terrible! For the price per night i was not too impressed.

The pool and garden area was great and the food was good. I used the hair dressing services twice and the staff where lovely.

A couple of the staff in the resturant/bar were very friendly ortherwise the rest of the staff where a bit lackluster with thier approach. I witness a staff member argue with a pool guest over some food he left uncovered when everyone was in the pool. A simple remedy would have been to apologise and get the guest another plate as the guest was upset his food had been left uncovered with exposure to flies. Instead the staff chose to argue at the top of his voice.I did not think that was proffesional.

Overall i would stay here again but would need to bring a lot of stuff i can watch when staying in at the hotel.

This hotel has a free shuttle from the airport, which is 5 minutes away. I noticed it is a resting spot for Air Crews. The hotel is secure and well maintained. It is not a new hotel, but the rooms are comfortable for the price and some have breakfast included. I was given an early checkout and felt lucky as my flight landed really early. There is a dedicated staff member greeting every guest on check in. Which was nice. The pool on the back side of the hotel is huge and there is a live band on weekends with an open air grill. It is a good location in Accra to visit other places closeby. I used a taxi from this hotel to visit Cape Coast, Royal Senchi Lodge and Accra itself. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a salon with hair cutting and other grooming services. I saw a travel agency and the gift shop has a lot of reasonably priced gifts. There are tennis courts on one side of the hotel. I did not have a chance to use these facilities. The hotel is very secure as every car is checked by the alert security personnel. This hotel could be one of the top hotels in Accra.

Room tip: Try to get a room on the other side of the pool as live music could be loud
