I have stayed here before, and prefer its location to either of the Golden Tulip and the Labadi Beach.

The rooms are well appointed, with WiFi (would be better to have one log in for the stay rather than having to create new ones every 24 hours) and are clean.

This time stayed on the seventh floor over looking the pool, the only issue was the air conditioning unit seemed very loud.

Check-in was difficult, despite being collected by their shuttle from the airport the room was not ready and this seemed to throw the staff, as was the request to amend the booking (cancelling two nights as I was travelling out of the city) this request took two staff 25 minutes to resolve.

The restaurant and bar are not bad, service a bit hit and miss, but don't ask to have a tab in the bar, if you are sharing a table (I was with a client and we were splitting the bill for the night) as this can't be done they just make it one bill and no amount of explanation will change this.

A good stay, but standards have slipped from its excellent rating on opening but it is still probably best hotel in Accra.

Room Tip: Any rooms are good have stayed in a number since it opened and they are comfortable and clean- but i...

When traveling in Africa one is conditioned into accepting second best and slipping into a level of complacency and Hotels in Ghana have been no different in the past. The Movenpick was a pleasantly different experience and the world-class service takes a special effort and it needs to be commended. I am happy to say that my room and stay was very good and although the service a bit slow (especially check in) on the whole, all things considered, I have to give it a thumbs up !! The best in Ghana without a doubt.

I would certainly recommend the hotel. Minor gripes include patchy room service, but essentially a very good, clean, comfortable hotel with very pleasant and mostly efficient staff. Good buzzy atmosphere in the lobby area and a good pool area.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing the pool

This is a very expensive hotel, so if it's in your budget go for it as it's a great hotel. Free shuttle to and from airport which is good. It looks very impressive when you walk in, unfortunately they take a lot of time to check people in but that was one of only two negative comments I have.

Service was 5 stars, from the management to the staff on room service, to the restaurant staff to the bar staff.

It has one of the best showers that I've ever used in a hotel which is always a big plus for me, which makes the stay even better. Nice rooms, decent space although the signal on the tv was poor and I'd expect a top hotel to have that sorted.

Food was good quality standard hotel food, maybe even better. Very nice breakfast, one of the nicest muffins I've ever eaten it was a shame I had to leave before the breakfast bar opened in the morning. They also have a very nice deli which do some lovely cajun chicken sandwiches, highly recommend that.

Very cool hotel bar as well, great atmosphere, combination of guests and locals, was packed on a Friday night and people pay to get in there but residents get in free, highly recommend.

I stayed there on business and the location served me well as I wasn't there on holiday.

Just about everything in this hotel is done right. The rooms are fantastic and built of some of the highest quality materials I've seen anywhere, the pool area is perfect for relaxing and there's a good selection of restaurants and bars servicing local and international cuisine. The service at times can be a little slow, but given the beauty of the surroundings it doesn't really matter so much.

We came in for a family day at the pool plus lunch.

After finding a place by the pool we paid 200 cedi for the pool rights + one drink each (3 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler).

It took 30 minutes to get a menu, 25 more minutes to get some of the drinks, as of now we are still waiting for the food and the rest of the drink. We will have to be really hard pressed before we come here again.
