“Wide and clean room”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I staied just four nights, room is enough space and desk is also big.
For business trip, it is enough and good.

If you select for other trip, it is bit too simple and less entertainment.

Basically maintenance of facility is done well. Breakfast menu is not bad.

Room Tip: Near restaurant (pool side) is good.

Don't believe the details you see on the hotel's website. The quality the hotel offers is over priced. The rooms are spacious while the toilet/bathroom had a terrible odour that no one could figure out what it was. The wireless internet connection is very poor (doesn't connect) in the rooms and there are no provision for LAN cable. So for internet use you have to take your laptop to the business center. They have an array for food on the menu but with less than 25% available. If you love sleeping with pillows please come along with yours as what is available as pillows are nothing but a joke. The hotel is very accessible and with an airport shuttle available. The staffs are friendly but that's all it gets!

Erata hotel is conveniently located near the University area.....that's about all the good I can say. Terrible customer service, dingy room, limited menu. Light bulbs over 40watts unavailable in Accra?

Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2013. I have stayed here previously a few years back. Good to see the rooms were still being maintained clean.
Rooms are very spacious and there is a shuttle to the airport. Staff is friendly and there is a healthy breakfast buffet inclusive in the rate.
Usually fully booked. That maybe due to it's location. It's called Odonglo in East Legon. So it's worth reserving your room and please make sure you get a confirmation. Don't turn without this.
I did and the lady at the front desk said she couldn't find my reservation.
The wifi let me down but I did see other people browsing in the hotel.
Great food also if you choose to eat in the hotel.
Swimming pool available but on some Saturdays there might be a party at the pool. Kindly avoid the pool area at all cost. Had a kids party the weekend I was there. It was crazy.
Overall a great place to stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. They also have suites with a kitchenette

Stayed at this hotel as a party of 10 overall the hotel was quite good. The hotel is located very close to the airport and provide a hotel shuttle to and from the airport on request. The rooms where very spacious and very clean. A double room was a good size for 2 adults and 2 children and we definitely did not feel cramped. The wifi was good (not European style high speed) but sufficient for work and streaming. The breakfast buffet was simple but good, with regular checks to you were never waiting. That said, a la carte service was horrendous. My party an I waited for over an hour for our orders to be served the first night we arrived, with a single word from any of the waiting staff. The second night it improved slightly to a 45 min delay. At this point we stopped using their restaurant. The hotel has 2 pools - one shallow pool suitable for younger children and a deeper one for adults and older kids. Overall I would still recommend the hotel but suggest going elsewhere for dinner.

Room Tip: Request the new wing and call ahead for the shuttle to meet you at the airport.

My family and I had a great experience staying at the Erata during our visit to Ghana. It was clean, we had a spacious two double beds room with our own bath and air conditioning and a TV. They had a pool with a bar, restaurant serving complementary breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful and it was comforting to return their after a long hot day of sightseeing. Also it is walking distance to the University of Ghana which was great for us as we were visiting our daughter who was there studying abroad. They do supply toilet paper but you might want to bring extra during your travels. Also bring your own bar soap. One minor detail, they need to clean under the beds. I dropped an earring and so went to look for it under the bed and was shocked to see how much garbage, socks and other stuff was under there. Even still I would highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed two nights at this hotel. It had a serene environs within a nice residential area in Accra ( East Legon). The proximity to the airport makes it a good place alongside the pick up service they offer. The staff are extremely hospitable and relate very well to costumers. The place is very clean as the clean rooms and change beds and towels every morning and even on request. Security is also good. Electricity is not a problem because the have a stand by Gen set which is very efficient.
I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely love to stay there the next time I'm in Accra.
