if you want a nice beach and to avoid being harassed then this is the perfect place for you. My family and I enjoyed the quiet nature of Bojo as compared to the likes of labadi where you are constantly pestered.

“Life's a Beach”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Bojo Beach is a pay as you enter semi private beach to the west of Accra. The beach is on a sand spit on the seaward side of a lagoon and is reached by taking a small boat across the lagoon. White sand, some beach chairs, with small wooden sun shelters and a restaurant/cafe are all waiting on the far side of the lagoon. Don't expect the crystal clear beaches of Asia here; the waster is murky and warm, but still safe to swim.

“Potential for Improvement”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

With such a great beach front, it is a pity that the owners haven't done much to explore the full potential of this lovely beach. There's a basic menu with average food but the bar is well stocked. its an ok place for a peaceful afternoon on the beach but don't expect too much in terms of the quality of the meals or the facilities available e.g. there are no proper toilet facilities other than a small enclosure where you do your business on the sand . There is a lot of room for improvement in making this a quality resort.

Dear VCMO,

Thank you for visiting Bojo Beach and taking time to write us your review and feedback
we intended putting up a full toilet on the beach but Ghana EPA prevented us from doing so.
our only choice is the investment in portable toilets at the beach . However, we have a full toilet at the island.

Thank you
Best regards

“It's a beach”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Lots of lovely sand. However, you have to pay to get on to it, and you're banned from taking your own food, which means you have to eat the truly appalling stuff they make there. This is bad enough, but it takes forever to arrive.

“Beach”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Bojo beach is just and only that - a stretch of beach. Stretching endlessly along the Ghana coastline, with wonderfull white sand, a murky ocean littered here and there with bits of plastic bags, it has a beach bar, soft drinks, umbrellas and chairs for the visitors.
Situated at the western edge of Accra, it is about 15-25 min drive from the centre of the city, and accessible only by car.
An entrance fee of 10 GHC guarantees you won't be bothered by locals trying to sell or steal something.
The only offside is the rule stating "no food or drink allowed to be brought in", which limits you to either eating at the local beach bar or going home early.
All in all - for a quiet day of relaxation it fits the bill nicely, as long as your expectations are not too high.
