Reviewed September 24, 2012

took the family. the kids loved the short boat ride. the views are stunning witht ehsilver white sand and the ocean. the kids couls run up and dwon the beach and also go in the sea. there is a full time lifeguard there who restricts swimming to a small area which he petrols. The waiters service is fantastic, pizza may take a bit of time to come but the food is good.

“Lovely clean & secure beach”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Nice beach resort, very clean & secure due to the need to take a one minute boat ride (included in entrance price) across a lagoon. Entrance price was 8 cedis for adults, and a taxi cost us 30 cedis (single) from Accra. As the resort is quite remote, I think it would be difficult to reach by public transport.

“Wild experience worth a visit”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

If you want a lovely beach experience, don't visit Bojo. You have to row across a tributary- or ather be rowed, complete wit life-jacket, to reach a wide expanse of largely unoccupied sand, which leads down to a very rough and inhospitable sea; I tried a swim, and was soon knocked over, and judged it too challenging for a real swim. But it was an interest experience. Ghana- by its very nature- is not a tourism experience, but it always offers a clearly challenging and interesting experience. Bojo does that- from the initial sparseness of the environment, to the deserted stretch of coastline, to the helpful and friendly attendants who offered us a food menu with very little food available, which we declined. My family had great fun playing beach volleyball, which was worth the trip in itself- Bojo offers that rugged simplicity - which reflects the Ghnaian holiday experience.

“Garbage, Human Waste, Thieves.”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

On our one day trip to Bojo Beach, my sister called up the Bojo Resort and asked about hotels in the area, they recommended the Jamaica Inn Guesthouse about 5 minutes away and we checked it out. It was run by a very nice Jamaican/English couple who did everything they could to make sure our stay was great, except for telling us people get robbed around there every week. We went to Bojo Beach (Late July) where we say a naked old man taking a number 2 in the middle of the beach, there was garbage washed up everywhere, and the toilets were a three walled hut in the middle of the beach (sand was the toilet). The next day we decided we would no return to Bojo and instead stay around the Jamaica Inn area, where at 10:30am on the Sunday we were mugged at knife point by four men from the nearby village. The police did nothing and the 15 locals who watched did nothing as well. Our trip got worse after that and we eventually went home early.

This had much more to do with the area than the beach, but in general, be careful and do your research on the areas. Even ask around.
