We climbed the stairs of the Banjul arch, there is a lift, and found there is a museum type of display to look around and viewing platforms where you get a lovely view all around Banjul of the mosques, the sea and creeks over the rooftops and you see many of the modern buildings that the President has had built, standing alongsides the locals humble buildings-this says it all !!! Theres is a cafe near the base of the arch in a green area offering pleasant refreshments where you can sit and watch everyday life going on around you.
