“Very "difficult" to cooperate. No animals. No nothing.”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

We arrived there at the afternoon. We make an agreement about the prices :

5 person :

Food - 20usd for all
Park Entry - 1 usd per person
Guide - 5 usd all
Sleeping - 20 usd all

We slept in the office of the boss as no other facilities has electricity = no fan = hot as hell
When we woke up it turned out that they want to charge us as above but not for all but per person ;) - this wolud be about 250usd.
They also told us that we are about 10 km from the main road so we would need a lift from them (another 20usd) but we still insisted to walk to the main street without their help. Little did we know that the main street is 20 min walking distance from the park.

Regarding animals - we saw few cows and few monkies (from 100m distance). Everywhere we travel in Gambia we can see more animals that in this park. I thisnk this was a TOTAL time loss.

“Not worth long trip even for keen birders”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

I was disappointed by our trip to West Kiang National Park. Perhaps we did not spend enough time there, but could find as many birds in hotel gardens etc. Accommodation in the area is very basic.
