Very busy and colourful, and very smelly (not for the faint hearted)
The craft part at the back of the market is full of stalls selling local crafts but haggle the prices are high.

Fish Market
Art & Crafts Market
Fruit & Veg Market

All reasonably close to each other and worth asking for local prices before entering any of the markets for a fair price.

Banjul Market is a large busy, very hot market, where you really need a guide to take you round,to avoid getting too much attention, and to help with bartering and to find your way round.Theres a lot of local colour, some of the fish/meat stalls can be a bit aromotic but this all adds to the excitement of being in an African market, thats more for locals rather than a tourist trap. This is a great stop off if you are visiting Banjul for a taste of local life with friendly smiling stall holders all trying to sell their goods to you.

The market in Banjul is worth a trip, just driving thrue Banjul will give you an insight on what an African City means.
Lots of things to see and buy in the market.
It's a real Gambian market, not a tourist trap.

Extremely dirty muddy place and on top of it - it is dangerous due to no police or other control. Never eat here and drink only bottled water.
