It is a great shame that this hotel has not kept up with the times, it was obviously a very good hotel in the sixties and seventies, a great shame because with a bit of TLC it could be a really good hotel. Standard rooms are very small, basic and not very clean. I asked to change rooms but hotel only did this after the CEO from the local company that I was working at (and who were paying the bill) personally went to see the manager of the hotel and demand a better room. Hot water seems to be at a premium, if you are a morning shower person you will need to get up 20-30 minutes before you normally would and turn the hot taps on and then you may get luke-warm to hot water. Breakfast very poor (ok if you want a depressing start to your day), but overall quality of food (all other meals) pretty good.
Lobby bar ok and staff are pretty attentive and helpful. Internet is available in some rooms (LAN) for an exorbitant charge and free WIFI is available in the lobby bar.
Hotel is located in very nice grounds close to Meskel square.More
