There's nothing wrong with Yod Abyssinia, but nothing really right with it either. The menu is precisely the same as at any other Ethiopian restaurant, and though the food is competently prepared, it totally lacks imagination. Everything is just 'standard'.
The same with the music and dancing - smiling and going through the moves, but with zero flair. Every dance was basically the same. The last number was, predictably, an iskista, which can be utterly riveting (see it done at the Four Sisters in Gonder and your eyes will pop out), but the Yod Abyssinia's plodding version gets nul points, I'm afraid.
