I booked into this hotel due to a poor experience with a different hotel nearby a week earlier on the previous visit. As I was visiting Sudan for a few days there were internet issues and I was unable to complete the booking process - got the price etc but on the final stage it always said "no rooms". Same happened to colleague trying to book elsewhere via a well-known booking site.

Emailed the hotel directly and they would honour the price of the booking site.

After some mis-communication hiccup involving the shuttle all was pure pleasure. Exceptionally friendly checkin, and a free room upgrade (perhaps due to the earlier hiccup). Rooms are large and clean, wooden flooring, modern, fantastic.

Walking distance to various bars and restaurants and entertainment offerings.

All in all a good experience albeit only stayed a night in transit. I will return to this hotel, not least due to the good service that the reception gave me - friendly, efficient, helpful. And this despite the poor lady later taking ill, she'd been feeling very unwell.

The hotel was competitively priced and therefore presented me with good value.

Room tip: The Deluxe room is slightly more than standard but is spacious, clean, modern, lovely.

The room at Sabon was big, clean and nice looking with a good shower - the service seemed good (we were only there for one night). However, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable - it seemed to be a hard metal frame with an extremely thin mattress (I'm not sure you could call it that...) and big ridges where the frame came up at the edge. Unfortunately, there was a loud club/ party going on outside all night which didn't help with the sleep.

We were to stay at the Sabin for only part of one night, as we were leaving at 2AM for home. We had recently been in the Omo Valley and had experienced some pretty dodgy places, so we were not expecting much. The Sabon was better than we anticipated. The room was large and clean and the bathroom the same, with a decent shower and lots of hot water. Wi-fi worked very well too. The neighborhood is right off a main road so things were noisy on a Saturday night, however. But for a night this is a decent choice.

My brother and I stayed for the whole month of November at this friendly hotel. The highlight of this hotel is the staff, from the owner Haile, the manager Fanuel the front desk employees Hiwote, Elsa, Mekdes and Hermel will go beyond expectation to please you. the restaurant staffs sorry I only remember one name, Beza and the doormen all are very good and helpful. At this hotel, the word no does not exist. I will recommend this hotel very highly.
