Visited Castelli Restaurant in Addis Ababa, but were very disappointed by it. We got quite a cold welcome, and although our waiter was very friendly, he also seemed quite embarrassed to be there. Meals are expensive by Addis standards, and they do the frustrating con trick of charging extra for veg, potatoes etc. I dont mind paying if it is good value, but this place lacks atmosphere or warmth and so I was left feeling quite let down and as a result left after only one course. The food was good, but would not recommend this place which did not live up to Italian standards of friendliness and service, unless you want to eat in a library!
