We wanted to go and enjoy their Valentine's Day fine dining offer, but then we had to cancel last minute due to sickness. So, we took then the next best option: The Sunday brunch. At 148ETB (6$) p.p. a steal. (Well, don't expect smoked salmon or bubbly)
As pretty much everyone says, the place is not easy to find, but with some good maps and CityMaps2Go on the iPhone, we found it without asking. (there is also a sign somewhere)
The setting was lovely, most tables outside under tarp roofs. The main restaurant house has become a gallery and is worth browsing around.
This is not your typical buffet brunch. You stay seated and they keep bringing you food until you turn your place marker to 'baka' (enough). We got some different breads with jams and butter, followed by fresh fruit, then a middle eastern Meze platter. Then Ful (Beans) with all the essential condiments, scrambled eggs, home-made ricotta cheese with tomatoes, grilled veggies. And if one is still hungry, in the bar section one can find a made to order pancake station, pasta prima vera, kinche, fir fir and of course injera.
Coffee and tea are included, water and soft drinks are extra.
I recommend going early as it fills up around noon and then the waiter becomes very busy.
