“People with a happy spirit live here.”
Reviewed February 19, 2010

Like many African cities this one is very poor. Yet the people are friendly and just about everyone can speak some French. The native language is Songa. I was here doing some missions work but would not recommend anyone coming to this city unless they have some business here. There would be no reason to be a tourist in this region. The city is filled with smoke from cooking fires everywhere you look. There seems to be no civic pride as is trash evident everywhere you look. This may be harsh as there may be no place to put trash / litter.
Electric power is limited to when it works. Though it did work some time everyday. I was told that a new transmission line would be installed soon and the but the city would be out of power for 2 months during construction.
Let me say that conditions here are not for anybody but the hearty traveler. The people are a joy.
