Stayed 2 nights at what I think was a booking.com special of USD $40 per night - room was in the area away from the main building and hotel rooms but not an issue. Basic but comfortable room. Hot water although a little fiddly getting the ratio right and had to hold the shower nozzle by hand. Firm but OK bed. Plenty of power points. Breakfast was included and filling. Big fruit plate plus eggs and bread rolls and coffee/tea. Served at the restaurant with a view of the lake. Outdoor swimming pool. Staff helpful and pleasant with good enough English. USD $20 fixed price for taxi from airport. Negotiated 30,000 Franc for return trip with outside taxi driver. 5,000 Franc for taxi to city centre. Wifi seemed to work ok however I bought a local sim and 2gb of data at airport for 11,000 Franc. Quiet location close enough (by taxi) to the city centre.

Great place to be relax and get some quiet time.
Access to the pools and gym and the view of lake Tanganyika will make you appreciate nature and creation.
A good place for meetings and conferences.
The Terrace restaurant is amazing too, and will meet your expectations.

Spent four nights here on business with ministries. Hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. Room well cared for. Internet excellent. Main problem is that they don't take credit cards yet. You will need cash or other direct payment options.

The hotel Safari gate is pretty modern and clean. The hotel has free WiFi but it doesn't always work in the rooms. There is really good Air Conditioning in the rooms and there is also a gym. The staff is really friendly and there is a restaurant by the lake that has pretty decent food. The fruit plate for breakfast is really amazing. However between dusk and dawn there tends to be a lot of mosquitos.

The hotel does not have Visa as of 6/2014 but it is supposed to be coming. Also changing money at the hotel is more expensive than in town. Only take US bills 2006 or newer.

Its located in a quite place, however the outside rooms are very normal yet too expensive. i loved the staffs though!! they are very interactive despite some language barrier as Burundi people speaks french and kirundi and for me its english and swahili. the morning breakfast is quite fine with full of fruits.

Room tip: Rooms i the main building are ok
