“Comfortable & convenient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

In that this is the only hotel in Ouagadougou in which we're staying, it's hard to compare. However, relative to what we see as we drive around the city, this is a most comfortable Oasis. We have to agree that the staff is most friendly & helpful.. Efficient as well in that a load of laundry that we turned in a bit past noon was returned to our room pressed & folded at 3 PM sharp as promised. There was not a refrigerator in our room when we arrived, but there was by the following morning. The air conditioner was certainly adequate to keep us comfortable when the outside temperature was 107. We had read that the best rooms are 6 through 12 & we were quite comfortable in room 10. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Pick rooms 6 through 12.

Wow! Took some time booking this place due to translation problems and time differences, but it was well worth it. This was our second time to Burkina Faso and this hotel made the difference. The staff went out of its way to help us. On leaving the internet visa machine was down so we had to go to the bank to get cash and one of the staff drove me on his motor bike. The people in the restaurant knowing that we did not speak French learned the menu in English for us, then they related it when we came to eat our supper. The cook was something else as the food was prepared very well, it filled the stomach with great flavor after a day of travelling. Gardener was very willing to share his expertise about the great gardens.
The rooms had hot hot water for showers which is a great feat in this area of Africa. Rooms were sparsely furnished and could use some upgrades but heck a person only sleeps here. the mosquito net is a must. Will book when we go back. Also book well in advance.

I just stayed one night in this hotel, but will definitely come back. The garden with restaurant, bar and (small) swimming pool are an oasis in Ouaga.
I had a room next to the reception which was large and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean.
The bar serves cold beers and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Maybe that's even a bigger asset than the luscious garden!

The hotel has a pleasant garden and small pool in the center of dusty Ouagadougou. Our room had good AC, refrigerator and a mosquito net (NEEDED). The gardens of the hotel are a haven for insects and the hotel does not spray the common outside areas. You will need your bug spray to have a drink or eat in restaurant. The food is good but the menu is limited, two plates of the day a bolonaise and fish when we were there. They have wifi but only in the garden not in the rooms. the staff is very helpful and tries hard but their English is limited, you need at least high school french.

I have stayed on business in many small hotels in and around Africa! Some are good, some are average and some are poor! Seldom do I stay in a place I would classify as superb! This hotel comfortably falls into that category! It is small but what it might lose in size it makes up for in service, quality and determination to please!
I found no fault and ate fantasticaly prepared meals throughout my stay!

This hotel has everything going for it to be the best in Ouagadougou. On a quiet road a few minutes walk from the Grand Marché, with wifi throughout and nice rooms. However the laissez faire bordering sometimes on downright rude attitude of the staff lets this place down. The restaurant is also one of the most expensive but standards here too fall short both on the quality and quantity. Wifi is unreliable and slow at best.

Nice place and worth a visit. However, if they are full, they may offer you one of the bedrooms in the apartments across the street. Not really a good idea from a safety and security standpoint unless you are accustomed to traveling in West Africa.
