It might have to do with the fact I travelled Ghana, Togo, and Benin before arriving at this place. I've seen many 'hotels' in these countries that are broken down more than this 'backpackers' joint. When I arrived here after 18 hours of bus ride from Cotonou, I liked it right away. The garden inside is nice, and the room, though not fancy, bedding and sheets were nicest I've had in all of west africa. Of course there will be much better hotels, but in this kind of price range, I think it's the best place to be at. I kick myself I only had one night's stay here. Wi-fi works very fine which was refreshing change, and when I checked out early morning to catch a bus, hotel staff came outside and walked few blocks to help me get a taxi. I've been disappointed by many hotels in west africa, but this one I do recommend.
