Feeling of bushveld and tradional meals like seswa and marog. We liked the friendliness of staff. Maybe more entertainment for children.

A small game park but really pretty, with plenty to see. We saw giraffes, dika, impala and many birds. Game drive very reasonably priced! There are also hyenas and rhinos. Treat yourself to lunch or dinner at the excellent restaurant.

I have been blessed to have Mokolodi Nature Reserve on my doorstep. The self catering chalets overlooking a watering hole are clean and simply furnished to blend in with the surroundings. Saw Giraffes, warthogs, Zebra, Kudus early in the morning and at sunset from our balcony. At night there were hundreds of fireflies, turning my experience into magical. Have been animal tracking, game drives and bush braai's (barbecue). Staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant that serves lovely food. Always a truly pleasurable experience. Whenever we have visitors from outside of Botswana, we take them there. Love the place!

A good guided game reserve with a restaurant and snack bar. Quite well stocked and includes rhinos, giraffasaurs (larger than expected, long neck tree eating beasts with paisley jump suits) and more. An entertaining two hr tour. The rhinos are a special treat and most of the grazers and browsers are there in numbers. I am told a leopard has been seen on occasion. The guide says not to let the leopard touch you.

Not by any means the largest game park within range of Gaborone , but well worth the half hour trip out of town. The website gives details of the various options and you will see giraffe , rhino , warthogs and various deer etc amongst others . There are game drives of various lengths including night drives , ,tracking opportunities and various meals in the park . There are also accommodation choices within the park.

If you are living locally for a while , then becoming a Friend of Mokolodi entitles you to self-drive trips and there are cycling routes too. The website gives details of all of these choices .

The restaurant is excellent , whether as part of your visit or just for the meal - see separate listing
