An absolute institution in Gaborone not trip is complete without visiting. A lively atmosphere when full but relaxing when it's quiet, the food is wholesome rather than fine dining but always quick and good quality.

Been several times and will always be happy to go back. Make sure you are hungry as portions are big!

Chose fillet steak this time - not quite like any fillet I have had before - not exactly knife sliding through it stuff. Tried other places this trip with better meat but this still represents great value for money.

I was here back in 2007 and was glad to see it's still going strong. The food is generally really good, although it might not be like what you think of when you think of the same dish (the chicken wings/buffalo wings, for example). Also, the best thing is to catch them on the night they have a special going on as that makes it really really cost effective! I don't eat ribs but we went on rib night and people said they were terrific (and then they sold out of them). The drinks were good, too. Beers are a large pour and cold. Juan Pablo after (is that what they're called?) are really yummy. You eat either outdoors or under a roof but still with open walls, adding to the fun. It's a fun and friendly place.

This is an iconic landmark in Gaborone, a goldmine of a business for sure, and a really well-run place that knows how to please its customers. And that’s the issue. At lunchtime (first visit) the place was relatively quiet and most people appeared to be escaping the office rather than on holiday. I ventured again, early evening on a Thursday, and within the hour I’d left. I struggle with bars and other places in which I'm part of a big majority of patrons yet in a city in which as a white man I'm most definitely in the minority. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a really friendly place, the staff team is well-drilled, and the food looked good on the plate. I’m really not knocking it, and I reckon that if I lived in ‘Gabs’ I’d roll up now and again, probably with a group of mates for a night of TV sport and too much beer. I’ve also no doubt that the Bull & Bush takes on a different blend as the night wears on and the music takes over; it's just not for me. Enjoy, but accept it for what it is.

Decent restaurant, food OK, but nothing extraordinary. Tweedy style, nice with kids and during soccer worldchampionship large screen. We had a nice evening! The different lights at night gave a special atmosphere feeling like at Christmas, a little bit cheesy for Europeans, but it gave a special atmosphere!
