We were looking forward to go to this restuarant after reading other reviews. We got lost but eventually we got there. The staff was perhaps tired because we arrived rather late according to their books that was 8:00pm and the ribs special was already finished. I expected live music as promised on the internet advert but there was no sign of it. We were looking for a place to hang around until late but it was such a disappointment. The place was full, I guess if your mission is to drink your self out this may be your place. If you are looking for a nice place to chill and listen to music while sipping your drink I would'nt recomment the place. Try the Bar at the Grand Palm it is a pricy but you will enjoy the atmosphere.

Lovely setting with lush shady garden and sheltered areas. Good steaks. Service a bit slow but friendly and helpful.

Definitely would not recommend the Bull and Bush. It was overcrowded and just a sweaty pit! It was also a bit out in the sticks, kind of hard to find at first. We had the ribs which were ok, we didn't have a problem with the food it was everything else we had a problem with. It's the same folk who own the Linga Longa that own this place but it was like a cattle market on the night we went. Scantily clad women hanging all over the men but when I say scantily clad that is actually being kind, Some would have been as well being naked for all that they had covering themselves. It was very offputting. Yet again, phone numbers being brandished and stuck in the guys faces and extremely inappropriate behaviour going on in every nook and cranny! What is wrong with these women, have they no morales!! Certainly seems like they have no respect for themselves and it really lowers the tone of this place. I for one would most certainly not venture back here - absolutely awful!!! GIVE IT A MISS!!

Being the institution that I had read and heard about I had to go there, it was with some trepidation based on the reviews I had read on Trip Advisor. Although I had a GPS I still needed some local assistance to arrive and it was certainly busy based on number of cars outside. I sat outside near to the open bar and was immediately served. I had a garlic roll to start with, business part of the trip over, and for main course I had a rump steak and vegetables which at around R105 I thought it was reasonable, it was not as tender as I would have expected from Botswanan meat but none the less enjoyable. Total bill excluding tip came to aroundR257, not the cheapest but out of all of the meals I had in Gaborone I found this one to be the most enjoyable, I have stated in previous reviews that the whole dining experience in Gabs is a bit underwhelming. Service was good and found it to be a nice clean place and will certainly be back next time I am in Gabs.

To get to the pub you have to negotiate a very dusty road - and unless you get good directions you can get lost even though it is not far! This place is an institution and should be visited at least once during your stay in Gabs. They have 2 bars, inside and outside dining area and wood fired piazza kitchen. On a Monday night the Ribs and chips are at half price - unless you go early you may be disappointed. They serve a good stead and pizza. If you are more for fine dining - I would not advise you to go as it gets very noisy and if you sit outside and you have a table next to you with smokers....it can get irritating, but in all a viby place with pretty good service.
