“dont expect anything fancy”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

outside dining area lovely as you are surrounded by plants and water features etc. don't go on a weekend in the summer if you want peace and quiet as there is a large play area for children and one can hear their happy shrieks. Service can be very slow. Food basic homemade fare. the frozen homemade lemonade is really worth asking for.

“Great place if you have small children”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

Lovely outside resturant with a great play area for small children. The food is simple and tasty and homemade. One can also get homemade drinks i.e lemonade. Sometimes service can be a bit slow. After lunch you can wander around the nursery which was the first in Gaborone.

“Interesting place”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

The place itself is situated near to Gaborone dam and there is a dirt road leading to the entrance of a nursery garden which includes this outdoor refreshment bar.
The opening hours are very limited and focusing on lunch, they close in the afternoon every day.
Everybody and even the waiters are persuaded that the lemonade is something very fantastic here, but the truth is that lemonade is only lemonade after all. The place has a peculiar atmosphere, which can attire tourists and families of expats and You will likely find lot of children playing around. The menu is not targeting the high standard gastronomy and have very limited and simple dishes, but at least they are prepared savory. On the other hand, You can expect a lot of tea, lemonade and similar drinks and nice deserts.
If your expectations are well positioned for the milieu and You have time to spend and relax, this place can give a good and unique experience.

“shady and relaxing”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

A MUST HAVE is the homemade lemonade, ice cold and refreshing. The food is good but not the nest, I would say above average. Service very good. But I would go for average food because the atmosphere is so lovely, lots of trees and water features. Enormous menu to choose from. Weirdly the pizzas don't come with cheese! But are made in a pizza oven. Bring mosquito repellent in summer.
