“Accept that things will take a bit of time, and relax”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

The food here is good and fresh (the menu is a bit limited - watch the blackboards for daily breakfaast and lunch specials). However, the open air setting in the garden does make up for the limited menu. And allows you to relax while waiting for service (and you need to be patient - service is friendly but not very fast!)

“Dining in a garden paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

If I had one place in Gabs that I could relocate where I call home, Sanitas would it, unequivocally. Located amidst knarly, rough barked trees, long legged plants, and child friendly jungle gyms, Sanitas offers a thoroughly nature inspired surrounding for a leisurely breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu has a range of items that include steak, chicken, and vegetarian entrees. A crowd favorite is the lemonade, a fresh lemon drink with a frozen ice chunk floating in the center of a green bottle. Pure refreshment! The coffees and desserts are equally delectable. Think of a place where you can go to get away from work, traffic, and noise and where your mind and body can rejuvenate. Sanitas is a divine inspiration; the food and ambience make for a perfect heavenly experience. As you enter and exit, the plants, flowers and trees in the nursery will bring your spirit into union with nature. A spectacularly enriching site with delectable food choices.

“yum!”

food was great but what I like the most was the home made lemonade. Refreshing and delicious I must have had 2 litres of the stuff! Really nice little eatery in a garden centre

“Pretty but plain.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

Sanitas is a nice cafe and great to visit on a fine afternoon but there's nothing really that interesting apart from the garden centre aspect. The food is mediocre and the menu is found in a lot of restaurants in Gabs so by not dining there, you aren't missing much (if anything at all). So if you do decide to dine here then you'll find yourself much more enthralled by the surroundings than what's on your plate.
