From the oust side, this restaurant doesn't look like much but once you go through the internal curtains you enter into a cozy and comfortable Indian restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and were reasonably quick for this part of the world. The food portions are reasonably large and the curry's we had for mains came with rice, so perhaps worth sharing a starter and then getting a main dish each. We had chicken pakora as a starter and it came as 6 pieces! Plenty for the two of us to share. We followed this with a Goan fish curry and a chicken curry (sorry can't remember which one!) and two naan breads. We couldn't finish all the rice but other than that, we pretty much ate everything and were full. The wine is expensive (but again, this is the case everywhere in Luanda) and our total bill for one starter, two mains, two naans, two beers and a half bottle of white wine came to about US$180.

It's feels like you are entering a grand tent with the dark red drapes. Once inside it is a well decorated cosy restaurant. Service is good and the food is very tasty. The chicken is halal and there are plenty of fish and vegetable dishes. The portions are generous so only order a starter and main if you are really hungry.

Closed on Sunday.

The site is expensive, but food is great. I usually go with an Irish who says this restaurant compares to best of London; which could be true since it's family owned.
