A little touristy, but well worth the trip. On entrance, your adorned in an African robe and face painted with some sort of African symbol which seemed to look all the same, but all had a different meaning as I overheard the painters describe their work to the guests.
Then your seated by lantern light, served your appetisers, then off the the buffet BBQ (all sorts of African game and traditional grilling fare), salads and dessert. BBQ'ed warthog or pumba as it's called, is fantastic by the way.

This is followed by African tribal chanting, dancing, then a drumming session where everyone gets a drum and gets to beat along with the drumming group. Great fun! Your offered the chance to eat an African worm during the festivities, and if you so partake, a certificate is awarded. Seemed like quite a lot to endure for a piece of paper, but my wife did it anyway. She's a Texan.

It's a one seating dinner with show, and just down the road from the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Regular free shuttles are offered from Vic Falls Safari Lodge from 7:00pm on.

Good food, good drinks and coffee, and a good show. If I found myself again in Zimbabwe, I'd be sure to go again.

The Boma is reat fun where you can have your fortune told by a witch doctor, listen to real African music or win a certificate for eating the local delicacy a mopane warm. The service is friendly, and one can go to the salad bar,and then choose your meat including kudu, warthog, crocodile, and other types of game to be grilled. I enjoyed all the different types of game. I wish that somebody would open a branch of the Boma in the United States as it would be very successful as it is a highly original concept.

Definitely a cool experience. We went as a large group at the end of our Kumuka tour. I thought it would be was just a buffet restaurant but there is an interactive drumming session as well as dancing displays throughout the night. It was also a great chance to try the local meat varieties and while the food itself was only ok it was a great night.
