The Boma is reat fun where you can have your fortune told by a witch doctor, listen to real African music or win a certificate for eating the local delicacy a mopane warm. The service is friendly, and one can go to the salad bar,and then choose your meat including kudu, warthog, crocodile, and other types of game to be grilled. I enjoyed all the different types of game. I wish that somebody would open a branch of the Boma in the United States as it would be very successful as it is a highly original concept.

Definitely a cool experience. We went as a large group at the end of our Kumuka tour. I thought it would be was just a buffet restaurant but there is an interactive drumming session as well as dancing displays throughout the night. It was also a great chance to try the local meat varieties and while the food itself was only ok it was a great night.

There is a fine line between giving tourists a taste of local culture and tackiness, and Boma manages to stay on the right side of it. Right after arrival you are dressed in a traditional cloth (over your regular clothes) and your face is painted. At your table you order appetizers immediately as well as drinks, and are given a traditional (and authentic) beer-type beverage.

Several shows take place during the evening including dancers, a drum group in which everyone participates, and others. There is a "fortunet reader" you can visit for a dollar. The food is excellent and includes several types of game you most likely have never eaten before. You can eat a dried mopani worm.

Although pricey, Boma is a great experience not to be missed.

This is a restaurant and attraction all in one. They give you a real African experience..First they wrap you in an african wrap and when you are seated they bring over water to do a traditional hand washing. There are lots of foods to choose from, and what was the most fun for me was the interactive drumming session.
