Anyone visiting Vic Falls should eat at the Boma. Yes it is very touristy but who cares you are on vacation. Food was mixed. Some dishes were excellent some not so but we did get to try many game meats. Atmosphere is great fun.

As "touristy" as it gets but good fun and a great atmosphere. From the sarongs when you arrive to the drums handed out for the floor show, the team here make an effort to make you feel involved tin the evening. They are not likely to win any awards for the food but that's not to say it is not tasty and plentiful. Try a Mopani worm if you are feeling brave - you even get a certificate to say you did it!

Boma is a dinner entertainment of the site of the VF Safari Lodge. It is a tourist place, but it is a lot of fun. You are asked to participate (if you like). Once you enter you will be clothed in a sarong and led to your table. The food is buffet style with a wide variety of appetizers including Mopani worms (salty, crunchy, and should be eaten with some of the sauce to improve the taste), main dishes (go early for the roast pig because there may not be enough for all) that included a variety of game such as warthog, kudu, and buffalo stew. All very tasty but a little on the salty side. The service was attentive and helpful. The show included local dancing and a drummer group that managed after distributing drums toi the audience to get the whole house drumming, even in sync. A great evening for a very reasonable price.

Fun and decent food but full of large tour groups and pretty expensive. Not many other options in Vic Falls. Would recommend if you have kids, ours liked it.

Boma Restaurant – Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

No matter where you are staying in the Victoria Falls, a visit to the Boma for dinner at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is an absolute must. You will need to book in good time for the Boma is a major tourist attraction and always busy. We received a warm welcome and were adorned in African print shawls as we entered. The Boma specialises in a superb selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes and is renowned for its warthog fillet, game stews, beef, pork, chicken and Zambezi bream fish. Plus there is plenty else including soups, vegetarian dishes and the spit roast of the day. A local delicacy is Mopani worms which have been dried out and covered in sauce…delicious! The Boma has such a positive vibe and guests are entertained by local musicians and African dancers and are encouraged to participant and contribute to the musical experience. Guests are offered their own African drum and shown how to beat it …hopefully in time! Dancing is also encouraged. The atmosphere at the Boma is fantastic and it really is a fun evening. Highly recommended.
