Description: Described as an unforgettable African experience infused with Zimbabwean cuisine, spirited performances and traditional storytelling, The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show has firmly established itself as a Victoria Falls highlight.Partially open to the skies, The Boma specialises in a superb selection of Zimbabwean dishes. A four-course meal combines a choice of starters with a barbecue buffet. The adventurous are enticed with local delicacies such as mopani worms and potjiekos (hunter's game stew), whilst those wishing to enjoy beef, pork, fish and chicken or a variety of vegetarian meals are welcome to do so.The sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by a feast of nightly entertainment, incorporating traditional dancers, who captivate guests with their vibrant songs and dance. The acclaimed Zambezi Drumbeat provides a wonderful interactive drumming experience.

This is not only about eating. This is not only an incredibly big buffet, offering everything and particularly a lot of meat one might never have tasted. (Warthog is very good indeed.) It is also a lot of entertainment, with the music, the dances, the drums and drum lessons, the entertainers, people offering services as soothsayers, people painting animals on women's cheeks... It's an evening full of fun.
The only thing I did not like was that I had the feeling that with all the many people and the huge amount of meat that was processed there some of the meat was not really done, and food quality certainly is a point to consider in this part of Africa.

Hi in Germany. Thanks for your review. Glad you had such a fantastic time at The Boma. It really is an experience. Thanks for your feedback. We do our best to make sure there is enough for everyone and as little waste as possible. We also use only the best meat bought locally.

This restaurant is definitely made for tourists but it is a good opportunity to taste some game meat, listen to some african music and enjoy dancing performances. In terms of food it is a buffet with a wide variety of local delicacies (crocodile meat, warthog and other game meat) including the famous Mopani worms if you dare. For me the highlight of the visit was the collective djembe session. This is a must if you are visiting Victoria falls.

Fantastic food and customer service. Great entertainment! It's all you can eat. Good selection of meat as well as desserts. Pricy but worth it.

We were a little disappointed with the Boma - perhaps because we had been spoilt by going to Moyo, Stellenbosch (near Cape Town) a few days before. However, if you're looking for an African boma eating experience, you will almost certainly enjoy this place. Food is good, but not amazing. Bongo drums at the end of the evening was fun though.
