We also spent two nights after completing 12 days in the bush. It was great to get into A/C rooms, hearing the US government was still closed and not bouncing in a jeep. The rooms were clean, comfortable, well addressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal were good but not extraordinary. A short walk to shopping, while there was a gift shop in the hotel. Nice hotel considering where we were.

Room Tip: The Wi-Fi only worked good in and around the dining areas. Watch your bar bills, they did not add mi...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our safari with Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT). It is a short fifteen minute walk to downtown Victoria Falls. The rooms were clean, spacious, and air conditioned. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and dinners with our group. The staff was friendly, conscientious, and eager to please. We were very happy with our stay at the Sprayview.

This hotel, laid out more like a motel with all rooms on the ground floor and facing dour blacktop parking lots, does have several positive aspects. For the average walker, it is located just up the hill and within 15 minutes at a brisk pace from the center of the town of Victoria Falls. The rooms are adequate, comfortable beds and good baths. The two bars are fair (the staff was flummoxed by a request for a martini). The restaurant has to be rated poor to fair for lunch and dinner. There are other choices in town, however, so the guest could walk there. The breakfast buffet was much better. The stars of the show were the staff, who were very friendly, hard-working, and eager to please. They really saved the place from a lower rating.

Room Tip: Probably all rooms are about the same.

Enjoyed two nights at the Sprayview after four different bush camps. The rooms were spacious and newly renovated, and the air conditioning was welcome in mid-September. Dining was outside on a patio overlooking a large pool we might have enjoyed if we'd had more time. There's also a comfortable and well-stocked bar nearby. Gift shop is nice but pricey. The hotel is a bit far from the main part of Victoria Falls, but it's easy to get a taxi.

Room Tip: There are 65 rooms, and the higher numbers are the farthest away from the lobby.

We, too, stayed as part of an OAT trip. The room was comfortable, clean, large bathroom, good reading lights. Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner were mediocre. Yes, there are certainly mosquitoes in Victoria Falls, quite unlike the four game preserves in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe during the dry season. It is an easy walk to the crafts market, shopping area and the gorgeous Victoria Falls Hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of the Overseas Adventure Travel Ultimate Safari trip. Many OAT groups stay here. From the entrance, this looks like a very nice hotel. Our room, number 9, had a window that wouldn't close all the way and let in scores of mosquitoes. We killed at least 20 mosqitos before going to bed and had a room full the next morning. We told the front desk but nothing was done. The floor was dirty when we checked in so we told housekeeping who sent a person with a mop. After mopping the floor was covered with black hairs that were not there before the mopping. The first and second days the water was off intermittently. We were told the water would be on at a certain time, that time came and went with no water. Three hours later as I was in the shower, the water was dribbling out and the drain would cough and spit. Gross. The first night we went to the bar, got a wine list and ordered a $4 Cabernet. The second night we went again and asked for the $4 cab. The bartender said it was now $5 - a 25% increase since the night before! We ordered it but the bill was $6 a glass. When questioned, the bar tender said "that's what it is when you divide a bottle by 4 glasses". When the management was informed, they were non responsive. Obviouosly customer satisfaction is not a priority. Would I stay there again? no.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review of Cresta Sprayview.
I sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience you encountered during you stay. Unfortunately this time of the year mosquitoes are very common; we do spray and treat the resort to help control the mosquito situation but regretfully they do return very quickly. I was made aware of the wine complaint and again this is unfortunately poor communication and the situation was not resolved accordingly.
Your comments and feedback are extremely important to us and l once again apologize for any discomfort you encountered and can assure you we will resolve all issues raised.

Kind regards,
Cresta Sprayview Team

We stayed there as part of our tour with Overseas Adventure Travel which has contracted for many rooms.

Breakfast was very good, dinner was way overcooked but otherwise fine.

They have a pool, and very high speed internet when it was working.

Recently renovated and seemed to be working OK but the staff is a little "green".

Well located only a few blocks from town, but there is no "sprayview" since the falls are a distance away

Room Tip: Hotel was very quiet.
