“Absolute treat for all - beautiful surrounds - excellent service - the best in the Falls!”
Reviewed October 19, 2009

We have just had a fantastic 4 nights at the Kingdom, we were meant to stay 3 nights, but we extended our stay for one more night. Previous reviews have been based on Zimbabwe's harder times, and not the hotel itself. All hotels in Zimbabwe felt the same challenges during the lack in Zimbabwe. This is a first class hotel. We drove around the hotels in Victoria Falls when we arrived at the Kingdom, we were immediately drawn to the uniqueness of the hotel's setting. Our kids thought they were in an adventure land! They loved the abundant water features and swimming pools. We loved the decor and the service/rooms were all wonderful - the food was excellent too, and abundant! Zimbabwe is shining - and the Kingdom deserves credit for what it provides; quality, excellent service, unique setting and proximity to the Victoria Falls. We have travelled to many countries worldwide and stayed in many hotels. This is truely the best hotel stay we have had. We left very rested and we can truely say we will remember this holiday as one of our best family holidays ever. Please disregard all negative reviews. We'd recommend the Kingdom wholeheartedly.

My room was clean I had electricity, even air conditioning, and clean running water. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for me. I loved the pool concidering it was 38-39 degrees every day I was there. There was not a lot of choice food wise but considering the circumstances I still ate quite well. (The best cheese and tomatoe sandwich ever) A beautiful hotel in tough times. I would reccomed this hotel you just have to understand the diffecult times they are haveing over there and remember it is Africa.

Stay away of this guy, a professional racketeer who sells sculptures in this hotel. He promised to send the sculptures abroad, and after a lot of money sent I'm still waiting. The hotel employees doesn't have manners and I'm only going to say that I saw the biggest spider ever inside of my room. Needless to say that I didn't sleep at all.

Stayed at the Kingdom for one night (28/03/09). Very disappointed. Clearly had once been a high quality hotel, but no more. Virtually empty. Staff standing around with nothing to do. Security suspect (guard carrying rifle around the pool complex) and worst of all very little food. Rooms clean. Would only accept US $ cash. Was glad we only stayed one night. Would advise travellers to rethink.

is the typical huge resort hotel for groups. The service is very friendly and the staff try to do its best, also if the local situation is very difficult.
The location is excellent, few minutes walk from the falls and in the "central" area of the village, close to the market.
It's incredible and must be appreciated how the staff and the managing try to offer western standards in food also if there is a great difficulty for them to find products.
In any case it can't be compared with the close Victoria Falls Hotel that has a total different charme.

I recently returned from a great holiday in Vic Falls Zimbabwe and Botswana organised by African Exclusive Travel who did an absolutely great job! My stay in Vic falls was at the Kingdom hotel. The design of hotel from outside was very impressive and it had all the facilities than one could hope for. The hotel was close to all the main attractions in Vic falls (walking distance to the magnificent falls!) The room nice and clean. The only minor complaint would be that the hotel was very quiet at night and lacked of atmosphere. Food choices in the main hotel restaurant could also be improved.
