Owner description: "The smoke that thunders" is a local name for Africa's most famous waterfall thundering over a 100m-high cliff.

Breathtaking! The power, the sound and sight of the water going over the Falls is just stunning. Rainbows and double rainbows added a great touch to the many photos! We flew over the Falls in a helicopter first, then took a couple of hours in the afternoon to walk the track (and back). A truly wonderful experience not to be missed, and one that will always be remembered!

The down side is the entry charge US$30 each is for one entry only, no passes provide for re entry on the same day. A steady walk around the park will take about 2-3 hrs.
The park area is clean and well paved, with plenty of viewing areas ( few if any guard rails) to take great photos, best photos around noon to get the sun in the gorge.
If you can, take a helicopter flight to get the best views & photos.

The town of Vic Falls is small and everything centres on the Falls and tourists. Plenty of small tourist shops, see them all in an afternoon, not much else in town.

While the falls are an obvious wonderful spot to visit, the difference in beauty on the Zambia side during the dry season is significant. You just don't see as much water as during the wet season.
Hence you might want to visit the Zimbabwe side in the dry season.
Falls are nevertheless significant and worth visiting

Excellent views. Great place for pictures but protect your camera from water. Note that entry $30 per person is for one-time access so plan to get in once and spend more time.
