“Great Location and accommodation”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

The staff were courteous from the moment we checked in. The view was spectacular! Our rooms were comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed soaking in the tub. We enjoyed our cocktails as we watched the spectacular sunsets. The falls were closed by, ideal location!

One of the most enjoyable hotels that I have stayed in. Extremely modern and stylish rooms with great views and a short drive to the falls. Although I have stayed at the Victoria falls safari lodge, the safari club is in a different league and well worth it. Will return.

If you're looking for the finest hotel in the Victoria Falls area... the Victoria Falls Safari Club is the place. The location is ideal, the service is fabulous, the food is excellent, the rooms are the best in the area. What else do you need? I arrived with my family during the second week in August and occupied 4 of the rooms at the Safari Club. We all loved it. The setting is perfect, just outside of town... so serene and lovely... away from the hubub of the falls and town and other touristy things but when you want them they are just a few minutes away via their frequently scheduled shuttle busses. We found no reason to have a car here.

We enjoyed sitting on the deck of the Club's lounge, overlooking the reserve with the watering hole in the distance... both for breakfast in the morning or for cocktails in the evening as the sun is setting (sunsets are spectacular by the way). The lounge staff is friendly, professional, and eager to please... always available to assist you with whatever you might need... booking tours, arranging for transportation, restaurant bookings, etc.

The Safari Club is the more private, intimate, and newly opened addition to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, which has been a favorite in the area for many years (they were about to celebrate their 1 year anniversary just days after we left). It's located right next to the Lodge so you are able to use the facilities of the main Lodge (restaurant, bar, swimming pool) as well. But the Lodge guests are not able to use the Club Lounge which is where we spent most of our time. We stayed 3 nights. After cocktails watching the sun set at the club... we enjoyed dinner 2 times at the main restaurant in the Lodge and went to the Boma Restaurant on the property the other night. Both are highly recommended... no reason to leave the property for meals.

The resort is run under the discriminating eye of Jonathan Hudson (Gen Mgr) who takes a personal interest in making sure his guests are happy. The ever present, Ms. Claire Wright manages the Club. You could always find her there helping her dedicated staff provide the best in service. They should be very proud of what they are accomplishing at this excellent property... and of the fantastic team they've assembled that makes the Victoria Falls Safari Club such a wonderful place to stay. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

As soon as we walked into the Safari Club it was a wow moment and continued that way for our entire stay. The setting overlooking the bush with waterhole for animals to flock to is simply stunning. The sunsets will blow you away. Our room was so comfortable and so beautiful, much more than we expected. The food, especially breakfast was great but the best thing about Safari Club is the staff. We have never felt so welcome and we were looked after in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for the people here and you feel like you are special everyday. All the details are spot on. We wished we had booked for longer as the location is so close to many activities including the mighty Victoria Falls.

The Vic Falls Club is simply amazing. The breakfast spread was awesome: staff could be a bit more attentive (i was given meat on more than 1 occasion and i am vegetarian, we had to ask for our complimentary wines on more than once occasion as well) especially since it is a small hotel. But apart from this, everything was amazing! The rooms are stunning, absolute luxury in the bush. Bus running into town was helpful and Claire was simply spot on with everything! Would highly recommend this place

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the watering hole: you can sit and watch the animals for hours!

The Safari Club far exceeded our expectations in service and quality of accommodations. We lacked for nothing. We have traveled to Southern Africa 4 times and the Safari Club is our Hotel of choice. No other place can duplicate the breathtaking views of wildlife and an African Sunset from our balcony with the majesty of the Victoria Falls just minutes away. We enjoyed safari rides at dawn and a delicious meal at the Boma in the evening! The best part was coming back to our room to sip from the complimentary bottles of wine while watching the elephants just a few yards away. So close we could hear them communicating with each other. Next time we will stay longer to enjoy all of the many activities. Can't wait to return.

The staff at the Safari Club really make you feel special. They are friendly, helpful and attentive. Couple this with the quality of the rooms and the bush watering hole views and you get the prefect place to stay when visiting the falls. The club is part of the Safari Lodge Hotel so you get free reign of the hotels facilities. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and sundowners are taken on the clubs deck that overlooks the watering hole. Elephants and kudu make daily visits and we also saw hyena and buffalo. The breakfast and lunch are fantastic. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night (book when you arrive to get a good view of the watering hole) and The Boma the other. Both were very good. There is an hourly free shuttle to/from town and the falls national park so no bother being out of town. Indeed we felt that being away from the hawkers and traffic of town yet being so close was the best option.

Hi there to you in Twickenham. Thanks for the review and we are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us so much. Yes, being away from the madness of town is certainly a plus. We are particularly happy that you saw such great wildlife from the deck. Always a treat. 'Home in the bush' is an apt description and that's exactly what we are trying to achieve. Hope to see you again soon!
