We thought it looked nice so in we went and were pleasantly surprised by the good coffee with a liquor. We also had some cake, all nicely presented and friendly staff. Despite some of the other reviews we thought it was it was a good choice especially as you are a captive audience.

Thank you for the compliments, we remain focused on achieving the highest standards in all we do. Juices are freshly squeeze, fresh Zimbabwean coffee for our grinders, all rolls paninis and bread baked fresh from dough made ourselves, and all pasta made by hand by our chefs. Many thanks

Normally, one views the "accompanying restaurant" to any attraction, natural or man-made, as something of a tourist trap, there's nothing else, you're stuck with nowhere else to go, etc etc. We all know that jaded feeling. But, how refreshing was our experience on Monday 07 July 2014. Staying at Chobe Safari Lodge in northern Botswana, we had taken a day trip to Vic Falls courtesy of Shearwater Adventures, with the excellent O'Brian as our guide for the day. The meal forms part of the package, maybe that helps to guarantee attentive service (?) but I can only report on what we experienced. We were quickly seated and a drinks order was taken - Zambezi lagers were quick and cold. (And, later, as these were paid for separately, indeed paying by credit card was no problem.) A three-course meal was the pre-arranged order of the day, and it started with a light and tasty salad, beautifully presented. Then came the best steak I've had for ages, perfectly MR and with loads of chips. I absolutely hammered mine! Lastly, an ice-cream and fruit salad concoction, imaginatively served and delicious. The young man who served us was really good and we left the restaurant well satisfied and, perhaps, a little surprised! Obviously, I can't comment on any other meals but, on this day, this sure worked for us! Value for money? The overall day package isn't exactly cheap and the meal forms part of it, so I guess, as Stefan S says, you just understand that and get on with it. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and the lunch at the Rainforest Cafe had a lot to do with that.

As with my response to the previous review - it echoes my daily experience. I think the entire staff can take enormous satisfaction from the manner in which they ensure it so isn't an homogenised tourist attraction restaurant. I feel it achieves exactly what it has set it's stall out to be - a great place to enjoy great food in a great location, served by great staff. Thank you kindly for your appreciative review.

Excellent menu for a cafe, good service, friendly staff, tasty food, clean and well worth a visit. One of the best meals we had at the Falls.

I couldn't agree more. Making my way to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch is my favorite part of the day. I have only ever had excellent food, excellent service and enjoy the great atmosphere of other travelers and watching the resident wildlife. Of course I am biased, but that is genuinely my own experience. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for taking time to provide your observations and a review. All the staff at the Rainforest Cafe are focused on achieving the highest standards in terms of food quality and service. We bake all our own bread prepared from dough made in house, and will certainly conduct some in house reviews on the paninis if they were less than perfect on the occasion of your visit. Thanks for sharing.
