Victoria Falls Hotel is a fantastic, colonial style hotel which in some aspects is a little tired. However, when speaking to the staff we learned that the rooms are all being updated throughout the coming months. The lounge areas are very comfortable and elegantly furnished and the staff were helpful and friendly.
We visited two of the restaurants and in particular I can recommend the afternoon tea on the terrace or one of their lighter meals. The terrace has wonderful views across the gardens and out to the Falls and it was quite spectacular to see the Falls with the old railway bridge and a rainbow arching over them. Certainly a peaceful and tranquil setting.
It is quite expensive to stay there but it is a unique experienceMore
