Owner description: For years we have watched the Falcons soar above our rafts and the Kingfishers hover above our canoes and for years we have, along with millions of guests, looked up and wished the universal wish.......imagine being a bird! Wild Horizons brings this dream to life with activities that will simply blow you away! Nothing could bring you closer to what it must be like to fly...! GORGE SWING! "Zero Gravity" Imagine swinging in a child's swing in the playground...now imagine a giant swing 95m long and 120m high above water...now imagine a 70m free fall before you begin swinging. Stop imagining and test your courage! Our Gorge Swing is suspended across the gorge at a point where the width is 316m and 120m deep. A harness is attached to the jumper and then the jumping ropes, the other end of which is pivoted to the middle of the cable. The jumper leaps off the edge of the gorge, free falling about 70m before going into a 95m long pendulum type swing. THE ZIP LINE (FOOFIE SLIDE)! Experience the adrenalin rush traveling a speed of 106 km's hurtling 425m across the gorge, while suspended 120m above the breath taking beauty of the Zambezi water below! As the river zigzags down the Batoka Gorges, our cable is suspended across from one side to the other. For this product you are harnessed and attached to a pulley, then launched over the edge picking up speed as you descend over the water and reaching a speed of 106 km an hour. THE FLYING FOX! Take a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below. The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a great appetizer before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing.

We enjoyed numerous services from Wild Horizons and were pleased with all of the arrangements, including pick up and drop off at the airport, a sunset cruise, an elephant back safari, a guided tour of the rainforest and Victoria Falls, and a full day visit to Chobe National Park. Wild Horizons was timely, efficient, and had made first class arrangements for all of our tours. We were impressed with the company and their staff. Our only tip is to book as many of your planned tours and excursions at one time as possible as Wild Horizons will give a discount for multiple bookings.

We recently returned from our trip to Victoria Falls and one of the best parts was the people we met that work with Wild Horizons. When we first arrived, we went on a sunset cruise down the Zambezi. Our boat captain was Albert and our bartender was Elvis. Both people were just incredible. Albert was very knowledgable and so kind and polite. He was a real pleasure to talk to and was more than willing to talk to us and answer all the questions we had on our first night in the country. Elvis also came over and spent time with us on the boat just talking to us and helping us get to know the country. They were both incredibly genuine and a great treat to talk to and really made the beginning of our trip memorable.

The rest of our stay in Victoria Falls was coordinated by Wild Horizons as well, so we got to know our guide very well throughout the trip. He took us to a village, took us through Victoria Falls and also back and forth to the airport. Again, he was very open and willing to talk to us, share his experiences, and help us fully immerse ourselves in the country and its people. Great all around experience and I would definitely recommend Wild Horizons to friends.

We really enjoyed all of our adventures with Wild horizon. We pre-booked all activites and wished we had time for more.

We took a private guided tour of Vic Falls. Driver picked us up and took us the very short distance to the falls, (we were at Ilala Lodge). He got us right in, without waiting in line and shared much informative, historical information about the Falls, the people, the Discovery, ect... He walked along with us, sharing information, taking photo's, pointing out the best view. If you are going to see this once in a life time wonder, it is much more interesting with a local guide.

Elephant back safari was an amazing adventure to be able to meet and greet the elephants up close. The staff is committed to helping the elephants, raising peoples awareness and offering a fun experience. Really well run and well thought out.

Final activity, was a "meet and greet", Was not sure waht to expect, but was very surprised when we drove out to a "shaiman's" home village and were welcoming in like visiting guest. Very informative on so many levels.

All of the "drivers" we had were local people from town or mostly local villages, all willing to share their stories and knowledge with guests. Had a good time just chatting with all of the drivers, learning their local stories and their take on the area.

Wild Horizon's is well thought out and very organized.

This is the third time we have ised Wild Horizons in Vic Falls for transfers and ctivitis and I have nothing but good things tosay about them.

The highlight of our trip was the 'Wine Route' canoeing trip with Ndougu, this is the third time we've gone canoeing with the same guide and he is fantastic.

we also had three inter hotel pickups and transfers by Wild horizons, between Zambia, Botswana and Zim all were on time in good quality vehicles with pleasant drivers who also doubled up as local guides with plenty of usefull information.

Great lopcal company with good service

During a recent four-day/three-night visit to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), we arranged through our hotel to do a day trip to Chobe which wound up being handled by Wild Horizons (which partnered in Botswana with Chobezi Safaris). We were picked up on time by a pleasant driver who took us and another pair of hotel guests to the border, where, after a quick pass through immigration, we were "handed off" efficiently to another driver who took us to the starting point for a morning (3-hr) river cruise. Our guide, Thabiso, was extremely knowledgeable about birds, wildlife, and local flora and was responsive to requests to access a particular viewpoint or spend more time where something was of particular interest. In the afternoon, following a buffet lunch at a river lodge, we were met by a driver who took us on a land-based 3-hr excursion through the park. At day's end, our return to Victoria Falls was handled smoothly--and as an "extra," the driver who met us at the border and brought us back made a side trip to see a massive baobab tree just outside of town.
After spending seven wonderful days in Kruger and a neighboring private reserve, we had wondered whether or not to visit another game reserve. Chobe provided a very different experience and incomparable opportunities to see large groups of elephant and giraffe up close, calmly going about their lives oblivious to us. This is a "must-do" activity while in Victoria Falls!
