The Victoria Falls Hotel sells it's history and location and would not attract customers by word of mouth for the quality of its food. A pork belly salad on watercress was suspiciously devoid of watercress and a gazpacho-like soup lacked taste and flavor. The cocktails were mock-tails devoid of any discernible amount of alcohol. The waiter was efficient but not enthused by the fact we wanted to be with Visa Card instead of MC necessitating a trip to the front desk.
The public areas are splendid and ooze history if not comfort. The restrooms, however, would benefit from an overhaul to bring them into the 21st century and up to 5* standard.
