This was our third visit to Victoria Falls and on each trip we have made time to have High Tea on the terrace at the Victoria Falls Hotel. We have never stayed at the Hotel, and find it a combination of pretentious, colonial and irrelevant to what is going on in Zimbabwe. Still, we go back for the experience of the High Tea with the wonderful view of the lawns and the Bridge and the mist from the Falls. It is a wonderful treat, if something of a guilty pleasure for the reasons stated above. The tea and coffee are excellent, the little sandwiches and scones and cakes are done perfectly and served with style, and the service is excellent. The hotel itself is a true pleasure to visit, so this High Tea experience is not to be missed.
