Lovely quiet surroundings , In the night you can hear the thunder of the Victoria Falls. They have a lovely pool and the in da belly restaurant is pretty ok. I loved their ribs. Friendly staff, all in all great trip, had fun!

We initially stayed here camping as part of an overland truck tour. We were put at in the bearer part of the camp, near to the noisey bar.
However there is a brilliant camping area further back into the grounds for personal camping.
We stayed in the luxury tent on one night which was FANTSASTIC!. With a little outside seating area with a bbq grill overlooking the smoke from the falls. I think the camp are missing out on not pushing this facility more! With a fully sealed sleeping area (although could deal with a mossy net for the midges that sneak in), fridge, fan, towels and a cute brick built bathroom at the back it was great.

We also stayed in a self catering chalet. These rooms were no frills but they had all the kitchen equipment you could need, a bedroom fan, mossy nets and blankets.

The pool was the biggest we'd had the use of on our trip. The restaurant food was good but portions varied amongst our group meal.

I would recommend this rest camp, a few minutes walk from most things in town.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the luxury tent but take a mossy net or ask reception to put one in.

If it was not roasting outside, the not so hot showers would have been a bigger problem. I was in a cottage (room with 2 beds), much cooler than the tent I had booked. The 5$ difference is worth it every penny. The accomodation is a bit worn down but the service is satisfactory thanks to very nice staff at reception always ready to help with a range of services. The wi-fi is not free and only available in a room at reception.
Need a revamp but understandable in Zimbabwe.

My fiance and I stayed here in late Oct, 2012. The Restcamp is beautiful and spacious. Plumeria trees everywhere. Nice pool. In Da Belly Restaurant is great: good food, good drinks, average prices. My fiance and I stayed in a chalet. Very simple room, but large: 2 twin beds, a dresser, a table, chair, and broken fridge. Rooms get VERY HOT at night if it's summer! Can open windows, as they have netting to keep out mosquitoes. No bathrooms in rooms. Communal bathrooms are nearby, and they are relatively clean, although I didn't get hot water. The atmosphere at Restcamp was great, and I would stay with them again. Very close to town too! Only a couple minutes walk to town, and about 20-30 minutes walk to the Falls.

About the only positive is that it is located within walking distance of the falls. This campsite is located right beside a noisy bar/disco. In fact, there is an open gate leading from the campsite right onto the property of the bar - so don't get any ideas that this campsite is secure as anyone could wander onto the property. The ablution blocks are old and tired looking, but at least there is hot water. Did not sample the restaurant, but see my review of Lola's Tapas bar.

We stayed here for three nights before we started a safari, we upgraded to a "Chalet" which was two single beds and a fridge. We hired a fan for the room as it was very got but with only one socket we had to unplug the fridge, our room was right next to the bathroom which was handy, the bathrooms were not in the best state - they had mesh shower curtains so no privacy at all and it was full of Mosquitos- here's a big tip, turn the shower on full hot two minutes before you get in to get them out and also flush the toliet before you go as a good hundred live in the Loo. We walked down to the Victoria fall hotel for dinner and it was amazing ($35usd ) and well worth it as there isn't a lot to do in the falls but the falls. Also there will be men waiting for you outside the gates trying to sell you Zim money and such, my advice would be to buy some Zim money, ask the persons name and have a chat them and then everytime someone else comes up to you to sell you something so you have brought it off "..." Already and they will leave you alone.

We rented a cottage at the vic falls rest camp, which sleeps four people. The cottage was basic, and had no shower, although it did have a bath and hot water. When we checked in the receptionist had no record of the deposit we had paid to reserve the rooms, so ensure you keep a copy of any payments with you to avoid any confusion.

There were showers available at the pool area, but the hot water was not that forthcoming.

The beds were comfy, but the cottage itself was basic at best and the furniture was pretty tired.

It's a pretty good budget place if there is a group of you.
