We ate breakfast here each morning while staying at the lodge. It was wonderful. The buffet offers many delicious options. You also are able to order hot items off a menu. I got an omelette each morning and it was perfect. We ate at a table outside with a view over the lodge grounds. The staff were excellent as well.

When we arrived (right after the Ra-Ikane boat ride) there was a group of elephants eating right out back. We had a quiet relaxing meal on the terrace. The croc risotto was not our favorite, the springbok samosas were super, the stuffed kudo steaks were ok, but the crusted warthog tenderloins were also fantastic. The caramel dessert was so good. The restaurant is a bit pricey- but the atmosphere was great!

We stayed at the hotel so we had breakfast here every morning enjoying the great views including the animals that wander through the hotel garden. The selection for breakfast is great and the staff are brilliant and friendly.
We had lunch and dinner here once during our stay and again you cannot fault the service from the staff and the food selection again was great and delicious. In fact the dinner was brilliant, we tried Kudu and this was really delicious as was dessert. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the hotel and ate here one night. A nice varied menu with some regional specialities. They have a selection of nice wines (mostly from SA if I recall) and don’t murder you with price. We all enjoyed our food.....and desert.

Service was friendly and prompt. The terrace is lovely - with a view over the gardens and towards the Falls.

The Palm Restaurant offers a wonderful selection of culinary delights along with views that can't be beat! During our stay at the Ilala Lodge we enjoyed breakfasts outside listening to the thunder of the Falls and beautiful dinners outside beneath the stars, the food and service are just as wonderful as the ambiance!
