The lion walk was incredible. Not only was it a once in a lifetime experience, your money goes to support the non-profit who manages the walks whose overall mission is to repopulate the depleting lion population in Africa. Good cause, amazing experience, don't miss the opportunity!

Must be 15+ years to attend for safety reasons so leave the kiddos at home for this one.

This was our favorite activity in Vic Falls. Where else can you walk, interact with, and learn about lions like this? Of all the excursions we did, this was the most professionally well run. The guides were great--super knowledgeable and work to provide you with an authentic and memorable experience. When we first learned about this, we had questions about the true objectives of the org and whether they were just exploiting the lions for profit-only. After learning about the program, which they explain quite a bit to you, seeing the facilities, and interacting with the people, we have no doubts that this org is doing positive, sustainable work to promote lion welfare (which, as we learned, is in danger).

Because no other people showed up for our walk, we had the benefit of doing a private walk. We felt very safe the whole time. The guides helped us take pictures and video--so we never felt forced to buy the vid that they created (although we did anyways). The pics they took for us were insane. We'll never forget it.

Very glad I took this optional tour. We were asked to sign indemnity form and were briefed on the dos and donts before going on the walk. All were given a walking stick that can be used to divert the lion if it looks back at u. A man with his rifle followed us thru out the whole walk which is abt 1 hrs+. During the walk, we saw four lions. First two lions are slightly older so we cannot pat and take photos with them (siblings - one male and one female). They were happily playing while we stood very near by watching them. Later we proceed to visit two younger lions whom we took photos with and patted them with our own hands :) I feel safe thru out the walk as there were 2-3 walkers and some volunteers with us plus a man with a rifle. I will always remember this experience and would recommend this walk to my friends!

what an adventure. we went in the am and they served us breakfast after we walked with cavorting lions who almost seemed to be posing for photos. you have several minders to make sure there are no stupid people tricks or aggressive animal mishaps.

This was an unexpected treat. We learned so much about lions and how endangered they are. Walking with them and interacting with them was one of the highlights of our trip. This should be a must do on everyone's Victoria Falls stay.
