The hotel building is old and is under process of getting redone by Holiday inn management. Room layout is typical of Holiday inn but still rooms are small and infra is Old. Does not give a feeling of comfort. Restaurant is good. Lobby is small and does not have enough seating. Breakfast is above average but limited options for vegetarian lovers. In all would not rate it value for money deal. Had booked for 8 days but checked out in 1 day.

Awesome amneties although service delivery was very slow on our visit, the place is cosy and fresh however.
The pool side is refreshing i must say.
Conference rooms are well organised and ready for business.

There's an old saying, you get what you pay for but i felt this place under delivers for the price.

However, hotel club membership has this hotel proving to be the best option for me in town. Earning points for my stay went a long way to offsetting the expensive price of this property.

My main concerns are that It's old and i would expect more from the Holiday Inn chain.

Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much and i was moved to a quieter room without fuss when i complained that my room wasn't quiet enough. Food was good and they even allowed my to take some of the breakfast back to my room with me.

WIFI is terribly slow - but it was free. There is no fitness center but they provided me with free transport to the nearby gym which i thought was a nice touch.

The hotel is safe, close to center of city and i would stay here again.

Room Tip: Get club membership before you book hotel as it gives free add ons

Was originally booked for two weeks but checked out after two hours. Comments below:

-NO GYM
-broken elevators
-broken AC In room
-dirty carpets throughout
-wifi not working

Not acceptable for a business trip so moved on to better accommodations.

Mostly bad, staff were great (this made the stay pleasant but not memorable)

Noisy because of traffic noise, it's in the cbd. Night club opposite this hotel.
But you can walk into the cbd in 10 mins.

Where's the hotel gym? (It's not in the hotel, it's offsite!)

Tv remote is filthy and most of the buttons are worn out and you can't read the numbers.

1 broken office chair in room, not even a couch (sofa) to sit on!

Windows don't close properly.

Restaurant:
Breakfast $15 USD! Ripped off!

However, Front desk Staff were great and very helpful, in fact Staff were friendly in ALL departments... (this is the ONLY reason I didn't give them a terrible rating in this review!) housekeeping were very good! The hotel drivers are great!

Rooms:
are 2.5 star by western standard... very outdated and bathroom very small and tiles broken, water leaks from shower, fan in bathroom is so tiny it doesn't vent all the steam from bathroom after a 4 minute shower!

1 lift was broken the whole time we were here, but there was another one available working fine.

However, The premises are clean and the pool is clean too.

Normally I have a lot of nice things to say but I was struggling to find the good.

Try the cresta lodge... much better! For the same price and it's 4 star by western standards and only 10 minute taxi from the cbd ($12 each way)

Overall this hotel isn't worth $130 USD per night!
