If you do only one thing in Harare, then visit Wild Is Life. Roxy, Craig and their family are amazing hosts and will treat you, and your children if you have them, like special guests from the moment you arrive on their beautiful farm near the airport. The animals are great, the food and drink are delicious and you will leave feeling happy and inspired, having enjoyed the hospitality and company of a fascinating Zimbabwe family. This is a genuine wildlife orphanage well worth supporting.

There are no words that give Wild is Life justice. From the calm and tranquility you feel when you first arrive to the rush when the lions roar before they are fed. Not forgetting the awe you are humbled by when you are greeted by a rare pangolin and the hilarity when you feed Sweet Pea a piece of cake and have to wash kudu drool from your hands before you sit down to enjoy your divine high tea. To be in the presence of regal cheetahs while they lie on the ground lazily flicking and ear or tail and humoring you and your attempted photography moments is an experience very rarely had.

Roxy and her team at Wild is Life have combined the impossible and have created first and foremost a sanctuary then a venue that has to be visited to be believed. With an incredibly high standard of venue, food and treatment of guests – Wild is Life is a gem to be discovered.

Me and my colleagues had a fantastic time with all the animals and the friendly hosts. We actually managed to entertain a lion cub on the wonderful porch. Being in the cage with the two cheetas was also a definite highlight! Highly recommended!

what a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. the grounds are amazing and the interaction with all these amazing animals is a one of a kind experience. I often wonder about these sort of places but Roxy does an amazing job and is doing a lot of good for many animals in need, she takes wonderful cars of each creature. You can really tell that it is a top class place. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. who can't love sparkling wine at sunset with zebras and giraffes just a few steps away you may even have a few guys coming up and asking to share. My family was visiting from California, they are vets and enjoyed he experience thoroughly. This is a must do if you are spending any time in Harare or having visitors!
