and poorly lit inside, like the others. But the location is convenient, right on the popular Avenue Habib Bourghiba close to the Medina.

“Another French church”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

This site was not open to visits while we were in Tunis. But just another French colonial church: there are lots of much more interesting site/visits to do in Tunis/Carthage.

“Odd Hours but awesome organist”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

This is an excellent cathedral, and if you pass by it (which you will, since it's very centrally located) continually check on if you can go in, because it is randomly open or closed at strange times. Once inside you can sit and it is calm and cool, and there is a talented organist who seems to practice fairly regularly on weekends anyway. Once you've had time to reflect and are ready to head back out the door, to the Champs Élysées of Tunis, you will be shocked that you aren't in Europe

“Lovely”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

Can one imagine a mosque in the main road of a city anywhere in a pro-Christian country? Surely not! Well the cathedral of .St. Vincent de Paule boasts of a superb situation on the main Avenue Habib Bourghiba of Tunis! The facade is nice with a lovely mosaic on top and the interior is typical of nouveau Gothic. Bare and somewhat gloomy on the inside, it is packed with believers for Sunday 11:00h mass, in French. Worth a visit.
