Decent hotel close to Avenue Bourguiba (main avenue in Tunis).
It has only 2 rooms with private bathrooms per floor. Ours (with private bathroom) was quite clean, with beautiful wooden shutters painted in blue. You could hear the street in the morning, but this could be quite picturesque if you're in the right mood. Beautiful old furniture, not the "antique" kind but with a certain charm.
A little bit cold during winter time, but this is to be expected for almost each and every hotel in Tunisia. Altogether, central heating is functioning during night time (we were there in february 2012, an exceptionally cold period) and there was no problem with the hotwater.
Poor breakfast, as everywhere else in Tunisia: baguette, a piece of butter and one of fig-jam. Coffee/ the a la menthe included. Ask at the reception for a good restaurant in the area, you will save a lot and get a good tunisian dinner.
All in all, it is not "an experience" but a good reliable place to stay.
