“So many mosaics, so little time...”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

The Bardo is well laid out in a very beautiful building. Its explanations in four languages are long (very long!) but manageable. If you're not into mosaics, don't come, but otherwise: Do spend a couple of hours here!

“Mosaics and Bey Palace”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

This unique collection of Roman mosaics ( found in Tunisia ) nare housed in the former palace of the Bey of Tunis. The appartments of the former Bey were designed and made by 17th century Italian artists. The mosaics are of the highest quality. We were only able to sped 2 hours, but the museum really requires a whole day to fully appreciate.

Reviewed July 1, 2014

The newly refurbished Bardo Museum is definitely worth a visit. The mosaics are absolutely amazing and you can get very close to see them.

“Historic Respite”
Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

Beautiful mosaics. Quite and cool. Overall one of the most peaceful places in the city. I gladly payed the ten dinar more than once to have a place to sit and write sans cigarette smoke or unwanted attention.

“excellent”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

you can't leave Tunisi and Tunisia without seeing this attraction. Unique. You can find big roman mosaics that we don't find anymore in our country. Archeological museum: you can compare the mosaics of different historical times: roman, punic, christian, islamic.
Fascinating. Big rooms and a really beautiful palace. You have to see the little bronze figurines of dwarf: wonderful. More or less two hours to visit and love this place and to respect our past.
